Do guests need an app or an account?

Quick answer
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and everything opens in the web browser, on iPhone and Android. There’s nothing to download and no account to create. They just type their name once.
What guests need
- A phone with a camera and a web browser, such as Safari or Chrome.
- A mobile signal or the venue Wi-Fi.
- The event password, if the host added one. It’s usually printed next to the QR code.
Why there’s no app
Asking guests to download an app in the middle of a party means most of them won’t. A web page opens in a second, works on any phone, and leaves nothing behind afterwards.
Without a QR code
Guests can also open the event by typing the short link printed under the QR code, or by tapping a link the host sends by text, email or WhatsApp.
