Event photos are personal. Here’s, in plain English, how we store them, who can see them, and what happens to them when your event is over.
Originals are stored in private cloud storage, not on a public web address. Photos are shown through short-lived signed links that stop working after a while.
Everything travels over HTTPS, and stored files and our database are encrypted at rest by our hosting providers.
Card details go straight to Stripe, a certified payment provider. We only ever see the last four digits and expiry date.
Hosts can sign in with Google or a password, and turn on two-step verification. Our own admin access always requires it.
The database is backed up every day. Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so deleted data doesn’t live on forever.
Errors and outages alert us straight away, with extra attention on Saturdays when most events happen.
Anyone with an event’s link or QR code can open it, unless the host adds a password. Anyone who can see a photo can also save or screenshot it, so think before you upload, and keep passwords to your guests.
Every gallery has an end date, counted from the event. No gallery is kept for more than 6 months after the event, whatever plan you buy. Download your originals to keep them for good.
Email hello@sharefetti.com with the details and steps to reproduce it. Please don’t access other people’s events or data while testing, and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before sharing it publicly. We reply within [2] business days and credit researchers who want to be credited.
