- Share photos and messages from real events, with permission from the people in them.
- Nothing illegal, sexual content involving anyone under 18, or intimate images shared without consent. Ever.
- No harassment, hate, threats or sharing someone’s private information.
- Only upload what you own or have permission to share.
- Sharefetti is for events, not general file storage, spam or advertising.
- Anyone can report a photo. We may remove Content or suspend accounts, and you can appeal.
This policy explains what can and can’t be shared on Sharefetti. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone: Hosts, co-hosts, moderators and Guests. Hosts are responsible for their events and the Content in them. We don’t review Content before it appears, but we act on reports and may remove anything that breaks this policy.
1. What Sharefetti is for
Sharefetti is for collecting and sharing photos, videos and messages from a real event: a wedding, a birthday, a company party, a conference, a reunion. If you use it for something else, these rules still apply, and we may close events that aren’t really events.
2. Content that is never allowed
We remove this Content as soon as we know about it, close the event, and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
- Any sexual or sexualized content involving a person under 18, including drawings or edited images.
- Intimate or sexual images of anyone who has not agreed to them being shared, including “revenge” images and secretly taken photos.
- Content that promotes, threatens or glorifies violence against a person or group, or terrorism.
- Content that is illegal where it was uploaded or where the Host lives.
3. Children and consent
Photos from family events often include children, and that is fine. Please be thoughtful:
- Hosts and Guests are responsible for having a parent’s or guardian’s permission before uploading images of a child.
- Don’t upload photos of children in a state of undress, or anything a parent would reasonably object to being shared.
- Hosts of kids’ parties and school events should consider adding a password and turning on photo approval.
- A parent or guardian can ask us to remove a photo of their child using our privacy request form, even if they weren’t a Guest.
4. Respect for other people
Don’t use Sharefetti to:
- harass, bully, shame, threaten or intimidate anyone;
- post hateful content that attacks people for who they are, such as their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
- share someone’s private information, such as their home address, ID documents, financial details or medical information;
- impersonate someone, or post photos of people who clearly didn’t want to be photographed in a private moment.
5. Copyright and other people’s work
Only upload photos, videos and music you took, made or have permission to share. Professional photographers’ images often belong to the photographer, so check before you upload them. Don’t add copyrighted music to videos or slideshows unless you have the right to use it. See our Copyright & Takedown page for how to report infringement.
6. Misuse of the Service
- Using events as general file storage or backup for files unrelated to an event.
- Spam, advertising, chain messages or links to unrelated websites in captions or guestbook messages.
- Uploading malware, or trying to break, overload, scrape or get into the Service or other people’s events.
- Creating events to get around plan limits, fair-use limits or a suspension.
- Reselling or white-labelling the Service without a Business agreement with us.
7. How reporting works
- Anyone viewing an event can tap “Report” on a photo, video or message and choose a reason. Reports are anonymous to the person who uploaded it.
- The Host and their moderators are told about reports in their event and can hide or delete the Content straight away.
- Our team reviews reports about illegal content, intimate images and children first, usually within [24] hours. Other reports are reviewed within [X] business days.
- You can also email hello@sharefetti.com. For privacy requests about a photo of you or your child, use the privacy request form.
8. What we may do
If Content or an account breaks this policy, we may do any of the following, depending on how serious it is:
- hide or remove the Content;
- turn off uploads, the slideshow or downloads for an event;
- close the event;
- suspend or close the account, without a refund where the breach is serious;
- keep records and share them with the authorities where the law requires or allows.
We don’t have to warn you first, and we don’t monitor events. Not removing something doesn’t mean we approve of it. Moderation tools help Hosts, but they don’t guarantee that anything will be caught.
9. Appeals
If we removed your Content or suspended your account and you think we got it wrong, reply to the email we sent you or write to hello@sharefetti.com within 30 days. Tell us the event link and why you think the decision should change. Someone who wasn’t involved in the first decision will look at it, and we’ll reply within [X] business days. We don’t restore Content that is illegal or involves children.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service and the law change. We’ll post the new version here with a new date. Questions: hello@sharefetti.com. Urgent safety reports: hello@sharefetti.com.
